Rather large VMWare Bug - FIXED |

You would have to have been living under a rock for the past 24 hours not to have heard about the recent catastrophic bug that made its way in to the latest release of VMWare ESX. The guys at VMWare allowed a license kill-switch into an upgrade that blocked VMs from starting after the 12th August 2008. Now everyone knows the saying 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' and that you shouldn't be installing patches on production servers until they've been thoroughly tested, but for those that did, you can find fix here and a good discussion of the problem here. |
